what we collect & why

Website Analytics

We use Google Site Kit to understand how people use our website—things like which pages are most helpful, where visitors come from, and how long people stay. This helps us improve the experience for everyone.

What this means: Google collects anonymous data about your visit (pages viewed, time on site, general location). We don’t track your individual identity or sell your data to anyone.

Your choice: You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the [Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Contact Forms

When you fill out a contact form or schedule a consultation, we collect the information you provide (name, email, project details, etc.) so we can respond to your inquiry and work with you.

Security: We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect our forms from spam and abuse. This means Google may collect technical information about your browser and behavior on our site to verify you’re human. You can learn more about [Google’s Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Email Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we use MailerLite to send you updates. We collect your email address and any other information you choose to provide.

What we send: Design insights, business strategy, project updates, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at our work.

Your control: You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in every email. We follow all applicable email regulations including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.

What we don’t do: We don’t sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.

what we don’t do

No Facebook pixels or tracking: We don’t use Facebook pixels or similar third-party tracking scripts
No data selling: We never sell your personal information to anyone
No blog comments: We’ve disabled blog comments due to high spam volume—not because we don’t want to hear from you! Use our contact form instead
No hidden tracking: We don’t use invisible trackers or deceptive practices

AI in our work

We believe in transparency about our tools and process.

How we use AI: We use AI tools (like Claude, ChatGPT, and others) to help refine ideas, generate initial design studies, explore creative directions, and improve our workflows. AI is a collaborative tool in our process—not a replacement for human creativity, strategy, or judgment.

What this means for you: Every project receives our full attention, strategic thinking, and design expertise. AI helps us work more efficiently and explore more possibilities, but every final deliverable is reviewed, refined, and approved by human designers who understand your unique business and vision.

Our commitment: We’ll always be transparent about our process. If you have questions about how we use AI in your specific project, just ask.

cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies (small text files stored on your device) to make our site work properly and improve your experience.

What we use cookies for:

– Keeping you logged in if you’re a client
– Remembering your preferences
– Understanding how people use our site (via Google Analytics)
– Protecting forms from spam (via reCAPTCHA)

Your choice: You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect how our website functions.

data security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Our website uses SSL encryption (the “https” in our URL), and we work with trusted third-party services (Google, MailerLite) that maintain strong security practices.

Reality check: No internet transmission is 100% secure. We do our best to protect your data, but we can’t guarantee absolute security.

your rights

You have the right to:
– Know what information we have about you
– Request a copy of your data
– Ask us to delete your information
– Opt out of communications
– Update or correct your information

accessibility

We want our website to be accessible to everyone. We strive to follow web accessibility best practices and continually improve our site’s accessibility.

We’re always learning: If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have concerns about how our site works with assistive technologies, please let us know using our contact form. We genuinely want to do better and appreciate your feedback.

third-party services

We use trusted third-party services to run our business. Each has their own privacy policy:
– Google Analytics / Site Kit:  [Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
– Google reCAPTCHA: [Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
– MailerLite: [Privacy Policy](https://www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy)

When you use our services, you’re also agreeing to these third parties’ terms.

children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you’re a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Privacy matters. If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, we’re happy to talk.
