Color Codes

Cohesive color usage across all platforms

Color is part of building a cohesive brand. As a design tool, I look at not only the meaning each color, but how the colors are used together to create contrast or harmony.

When your brand is designed by a professional they will give you a set of color codes used in the brand, because sometime as we’re creating assets for our business we’re given the opportunity to specify what colors we want.

Online, the standard color code used is ‘hex color’ or ‘hexidecimal color code’ it starts with a ‘#’ and is followed by a combination of six letters or numbers.

So, white is #FFFFFF, black is #000000

Know and use your color codes consistently.
